I originally formed Thatcher Associates out of a desire to run my own business and to offer something different to the sector. For me, success is about delivering the right outcomes for our clients and candidates, maintaining relationships, professionalism, and sustainability.
Over the years as a director / shareholder I have undertaken many roles within the company, often at the same time: primarily as a recruiter of senior candidates, but also team leader, manager, trainer, business developer and account manager, plus I have oversight of P&L and finance function.
Moving forwards, Thatcher Associates will continue to work with a range of organisations in the UK and overseas where we can add value, develop and maintain relationships, and have a sustainable business.

Paul Chaffe

I teamed up with John back in 2001 as a shareholding director and have been a key figure in the company's journey over the last 19 years, having had an active involvement with the strategic management and leadership of the business, with a primary focus on our construction and property brand.
A main focus for me is ensuring that, as a business, we deliver a service which sets us apart from our competitors; whether this is down to our understanding of the industries in which we operate, the thoroughness of a search, or that we are applying attention to detail that you'll rarely find elsewhere.
With an early career working for a Plc contractor, I'm well grounded in the construction industry. In more recent years, I've specialised in managing senior appointments; placing numerous operational, commercial, and technical leaders with contractors, developers, and consultants in the region the South and further afield. I've seen first hand how the industry has changed over the years and I'm often called upon to provide advice to hiring organisations as they undergo planned change.
