Thatcher Associates have been appointed to secure a Project Manager / Contracts Manager in the Somerset region. This individual will be joining an independent, bespoke developer and will work within a well-structured and friendly team.

About the role:

As a Project Manager / Contracts Manager, you will work closely within an experienced and cooperative team. You will report directly into the Director, and oversee x3 live projects (3, 4, 5 and 6 units, £1M new build homes and refurbishments). All projects are high spec, design led and traditional build – typically, this client operates within an hour of their Somerset-based office. This is a largely office based Project Manager / Contracts Manager opportunity, however, you will be expected to visit site too. You will oversee both Site and Assistant Site Managers, ensuring that the build process is kept on track and within budget.

About you:
  • Working within a Project Management / Contract Management capacity
  • Understanding of the technical and planning processes, as well as construction
  • Preferable experience of bespoke, high spec new build developments
  • Knowledge of the planning system
  • Abiding by and discharging planning conditions
  • An understanding of technical drawings
  • Able to conduct weekly and monthly reports on budgets, programmes and progress
  • A strong working knowledge of the Construction field
  • Confident, self-dependent and outgoing
  • Able to liaise and interact with individuals across the Build Process
