Business Development and Bid Assistant Devon.

A friendly, well established contractor with the vision to build inspiring and accessible spaces. They are seeking an experienced Business Development/ Bid Assistant Coordinator to join their team in Devon!
This company has a strong client base with national and regional firms along with local authority and government run orgaisations. Their aim is to deliver a high-end service and projects which sets them apart from other main contractors. 

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well respected, recognised contractor who has a strong focus on internal progression and promotion.

Main Responsibilities:

Experience working within Construction is desirable but not essential, you may have other career experience that is transferable such as office furniture sales, telesales etc. Applicants who are working as Business Development Coordinator or Bid Coordinator are preferable however, all roles will be considered.
  • Understanding of the construction industry
  • Client meetings
  • Generating leads
  • Researching leads & clients
  • Presenting opportunities to Directors
  • Attending industry events & representing the contractor
  • Managing pipeline and ensuring dealings are met
  • Assist in tenders/bids
  • Working closely with the Business Development Team
  • Keeping up to date with the market, standards and any issues that could affect the business/future projects
  • Formulating bid presentations, from evaluating the initial inquiry with the BD team/ Commercial team, tracking and managing the progress of works and presenting final bids to clients as required.
  • Managing and wordsmith the content of Bids
  • You will provide support to business development, tendering and business line managers throughout the Bid and Business Development process life-cycle.
  • You will also be able to bring a creative visually pleasing finish to company submissions. 
The Ideal Applicant:

Previous experience as a Bid Coordinator or Business Development Coordinator isn't essential, this appointment may suit an administrator based within the construction sector who is looking for a career change, or a marketing graduate who is looking to find a role that will offer progression and market exposure.
