Thatcher Associates have been appointed by an established house builder to appoint a career driven Technical Coordinator - Bristol.

Client Details

Due to successful business growth, an established housebuilder is rapidly growing in the production of high-end designs and are looking to expand their team to support this growth. They are based in Bristol and cover developments in the South West region, working on new build housing developments at a high spec level.

Description of the role and responsibilities

As Technical Coordinator, you will be expected to manage four sites from inception through to completion whilst managing and monitoring site progress. You will be responsible for costs, budgets, design and the consultants involved, liaising with architects and sub-contractors to coordinate technical information throughout the project team. You will work closely and report directly to the Technical Manager and will provide good support to the technical department. 

Your role will be based from the Bristol office and you will need to have the full UK driving license as there will be travel to various site locations when required.

About you

If you have experience as a reputable Technical Coordinator with a sound understanding of residential development working with a house builder or main contractor producing housing schemes and exceptional leadership skills, this opportunity will suit your next career move. Ideally, my client is looking for someone with a very good architectural background but has an understanding of engineering, along with good knowledge of building regulations and sustainable homes legislation. This vacancy will also offer you the opportunity for quick career progression. We are open to considering applicants from a consultancy background who are looking to progress their career within design management.
  • Previous experience as a Technical Coordinator or Design Coordinator or consultancy equivalent.
  • Architecture degree, engineering degree or equivalent.
  • Strong management and communication skills.
  • Major developer background (volume house building) is desirable.
  • Good organisation skills with the ability to keep accurate records of detailed information.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Achieve key deadlines.
  • Full UK driving license.
