Are you a experienced Quantity Quantity based along the M4 corridor looking for a new role? Or a Assistant Quantity Surveyor wanting a step up to Quantity Surveyor level? If the answer is yes Thatcher Associates have the opportunity you are looking for.

About the Role
We are currently working with a well established contractor who is in need of a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. Working partly on-site and in the office, delivering predominantly on high-rise accommodation and commercial schemes. 

The client has an extensive order book offering continuity of works within the South Wale region, as well as the opportunity for career progression if this is something you are looking to pursue.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to the following:
  • Maximising profit via control of costs
  • Supervising the placement of contractors and subcontractors as well as material orders
  • Producing valuations, project performance documentation and monitoring the budget
  • Assessing contractual risks
  • Measuring quality and value of work
  • Raising invoices and issuing payments 
About You  

You will be a knowledgeable and commercially-minded individual who has a strong track record of having delivered a range of interesting schemes for an established main contractor, you will:
  • Hold a degree or similar qualification such as NVQ Level 6 or HND in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (RICS status is desirable if not essential)
  • Have extensive experience of having delivered large-scale construction projects across a variety of sectors
  • Have previous work experience with an established main contractor 
  • Be a strong mentor and be able to support the Quantity Surveyor and junior staff
