Research Manager
As a key member of the Product Development team the Research Manager will own the Product Portfolio for both B2C as well as B2B products, will maintain and keep up to date and work hand in hand with the rest of the Product Development team in Roadmap planning, control and reporting. The role will work hand in hand with Product Management, Sales and Engineering organizations ensuring a coherent view of the products available and in train for each of our markets and customer segments.

Work hand in hand with the Business Intelligence team on existing and new Product Research and Product Reports and KPI’s, ensuring that the business is fully appraised of the latest trend and sentiments from our customer base. Regular reporting and research are critical functions of this role and it will inform the decisions not just of Product Development but the wider business.

A great communicator and clear presenter with a very analytics mind is key for this role that will be a vital engine of the Innovation machine known for its award winning Products recognized worldwide.

Primary Accountabilities

• Maintain up to date the Product Portfolio across all markets both B2C, B2B and Channels.
• Working closely with Product Development Directors, Update and Maintain up to date the Product Roadmap for 12-36 months across the entire footprint
• Working closely with Business Intelligence, develop weekly and monthly Product Reporting, for management and operations.
• Establish Portfolio and Roadmap governance and best practices.
• Establish world class Product KPI guideline and reports
• Working with multi-faceted teams establish Product research priorities. Develop research plans and update research results.
• Support roadmap planning through research
• Support investment thesis through the support and development of business cases and plans supported by strong analytics
• Support Product Directors in Business Case development by providing required insights
• Prepare regular portfolio and roadmap presentations for markets and management.
• Work hand in hand with Product Management teams (B2C and B2B) to maximize Portfolio value and align Roadmap to Short and Long term plans.
• Establish and enforce Portfolio and Roadmap governance
• Establish and support regular Product Performance reports
• Work with central and in market teams to achieve targets
• Ensures that plans are fully coordinated and supported by center and local stakeholders.

Knowledge & Experience
• Education at University degree level in the areas of Business, Economy, Technology and/or Science
• Preferably additional qualifications in the form of Business/MBA or relevant courses/certification
• 7+ years of experience in the communication provider space
• Portfolio and Reporting experience a plus not a must
• Proven experience in working and coordinating large complex initiatives with complex stakeholder needs across multiple markets
• Experience working cross functionality across technical and commercial areas - Confident working with all levels of the organization
• Clear and strong communicator – comfortable with presenting and talking to large or small audience – skilled at concisely communicating product concepts, vision and approach.
• Demonstrated experience working in a distributed environment and across multiple markets and cultures are definite bonus.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and to move forward constructively and provide leadership when necessary.
• Technical aptitude an advantage – an ability to understand technical processes and technical products is important
• Highly analytical and structured thinker
