New opportunity for an established Strategic Land Manager to specialist team of land and planning professionals in the South East area.

My client is a leading developer who provides valuable housing to the current demands in the country. Upon joining, you will sit within an experienced team of managers and together, work collaboratively to achieve targets.

As with any land function, you will enjoy a self-promoting role, have an entrepreneurial mind-set and be able to deliver both front-end and back-end results.

About the role:
You will be responsible for identifying, securing, promoting and managing the regions strategic land portfolio. The role will focus on securing sufficient strategic land to assist the business to expand in the South East. You will establish and maintain good relationships with local land owners, land agents and consultants. It’s expected that you will manage and monitor the planning promotion process of the secured sites and ensure the effective site transfer. You will secure sites, procure it, agree heads of terms, negotiate contracts through to exchange.

About you:
You will need to have excellent communication and negotiation skills and identify and secure target sites to meet the company’s business plan. You will need to demonstrate that you’re able to successfully secure strategic land legally for a house builder/strategic land promoter.

Key skills:
  • A proven track record of securing strategic sites in the South East
  • Successfully promote land through the planning system
  • Strong planning background
  • Planning or Land background/degree qualified in a relevant subject
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the South East
  • Positive and driven individual with a pro-active mentality
