Emma Bayliss

Associate Director

Who I Am:

Having worked at Thatchers since 2011, I have been privileged to watch the company grow, and to grow alongside it. Now Associate Director of Thatcher Associates, I oversee the team’s recruitment across the construction, civil engineering, residential, consultancy and international sectors.

A recruiter with a clear focus on recruiting permanent staff for contractors, residential developers and consultancies within the South West region, I began my career as a Management Trainee with Kier Construction whilst studying for my BSc in Construction Commercial Management. Moving on from Kier, I progressed into Quantity Surveying with ISG Plc before joining the Thatcher Associates Construction section.

What I do:

I’ve worked hard to develop a reputation as a dedicated, knowledgeable recruiter within the Built Environment sector; I specialise in recruiting preconstruction, operational and commercial professionals within the Residential and Construction sectors from management to senior level.

Understanding both client and candidate needs and working closely with the team here at Thatcher Associates to ensure that we meet those needs has always been top priority. I’m passionate about forging long term relationships with the talented professionals we work with.

I view myself as an extension of our clients’ businesses – I understand their strategy, vision and goals, and work hard to implement bespoke solutions to their hiring challenges. As Associate Director, my role involves leading a team of consultants at various levels from trainee through to team managers, and I strive to offer training, support and guidance.

At Thatcher Associates, we take great pride in providing innovative, market leading customer service to all candidates and clients.

Please feel free to get in contact with myself or one of my team if you are looking for your next career opportunity or are looking to discuss taking on new talent. I sometimes have exclusive vacancies that may not be advertised online or elsewhere, so please do pick up the phone and get in touch; I'm always happy to take your call and talk you through my job opportunities.
